Hey! My name is Rabail Waseem and although my ultimate goal is to be a professional athlete, I will be studying Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) starting September 2017. I am your not-so-average 18-year-old who LOVES sports, especially ice hockey, with interests also in video games, movies & TV shows, music, fashion, and fitness, all of which I will be sharing with each and everyone one of you! After having the first six months of 2017 be filled with regrets and missed opportunities, for next six months — but first for the next two months, I will be taking every opportunity that I get to make the most out of my summer, by going on what I like to call “adventures”.
Hi guys!! My name is Manisha Panta Chhetri and I have no idea what I want to do with my life like many other clueless people in the world. Which is why I decided to take a year off and travel. Even though I am not sure what program to apply for,I know that I want to help the environment. I have been working for 3 years and I think it has helped me grow and be a great problem solver when needed. I work as a waiter at a Indian restaurant and I am hoping I can save enough money to go back home (Nepal) and to Kolkata. Working has its ups and downs since you can meet awesome people but once in a while you have to deal with crappy people. Like anything in life you learn from it and move on and accept that everyone is different. I also forgot to mention I am a crazy girl who loves to listen to music 24/7, as they say music is life. I really want to learn how to speak Bengali which is what I am trying to learn this summer. I want to visit Kolkata as I heard that it rains a lot there which I love very much and because they speak Bengali there. I also love CHEMISTRY !!!! I know kind of weird for me to be so excited but that’s me I get excited over little things and I am weird :)) I hope that this will be a great journey 🙂
Hello! I’m Saima Munir and I am an engineering major at Ryerson. I’m quite passionate about science and technological innovation, but over the years, I have come to realise that there is a lack of education about women in STEM. Therefore, I am looking forward to discovering and sharing the history and achievements of female scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. Hopefully, we all become inspired to work hard 🙂
Hi my name is Harneet Gill, and I am a biochem major who will be attending York University this fall. Not only do I do experiments in labs but I also love experimenting in the kitchen. I’m Punjabi and being a foodie is in my genes lol, I grew up in the kitchen with my Mom creating VERY delicious food for our family and through my posts I will share the amazing recipes that I have learned as well as any new concoctions that I create myself, I hope you will love these recipes as much as I do!
